Went to The Astoria last night to see SeaSick Steve, the place was sold out but managed to get a spot behind the sound deck good view and a bar just behind us, Seasick came on to a marching drum and launched straight into some amazing, low down, hobo, stringless, muddy guitar blues... music that could only come from a street living, traveling, story telling, train jumping, apple picking guitar thrashing, dungaree wearing, bearded genius...
it was great, tracks laced with story's of dog houses, forest living and wood burning fires on the back of borrowed flatbed trucks and cardboard windows with nothing but paper for insulation... The Special guest was a big suprise, a coulpe of tracks with KT Tunstall.
Seasick Steve has a great rough sound and well worth seeing if you get the chance.
